If it is a battery pack that has just been assembled, please measure the voltage of each series cell from the connector . Check whether these balance wires connection sequence is wrong or not , or if there is any individual cables are disconnected.
If the abnormality occurs after work with a period of time, please check whether there is any loose Connection (the cable is crimped or screwed), or the connection between the cable and the protection board socket is loose. at the same time , you also need to measure the voltage of each series cell, because some PCB board does not support battery charging when the voltage drops to 0 volt , the charge can only be made when your single series of cell voltage reached more than 1V.
the battery system assembled with full voltage . If the maximum voltage of the battery pack is higher than the specified overcharge release voltage of the protection board, the protection board may be activate the over-voltage protection and was locked, and therefore led to the Battery can not be charged. so you should discharge your battery at lower level ,then it can recover to normal charge process .
The battery pack getting to be charged fully . For example, the voltage of the 10S li ion battery pack is 41.5V, the charger output is 42V, and the BMS has ON OFF switch and has the same charge and discharge port . in such condition , your battery can be charged normally when turn on the switch , but it can not be charged when you turn off the switch .
The G polarity of the Mosfet was shorted with C- port when the buyer soldering wires on the C- port of the BMS ,in such condition , the BMS also can not be charged normally .
Please measure the Voltage between the C- port and B+ to see if it is the normal voltage for the charger , if not, please check whether the fuse of the charging circuit and the electronic wires are open or not .
Some protection boards have temperature protection probes . If the temperature detection probe is damaged or dropped, it may not be charged.
Some PCB boards have low temperature protection function with charger . If the ambient temperature is lower than the low temperature protection value of charge , it can not be charged in such conditions.
Some protection boards has high temperature protection function with charge . If the ambient temperature is higher than the charging high temperature protection value, it cannot be charged. particularly in summer, when the battery temperature is high after riding ,the high temperature protection with charger will be activated and will be resulted in abnormal charge .
The charger output voltage does not match the battery voltage . Or the charger interference is too large which affecting the normal operation of the protection board.
the battery pack have been discharged to the undervoltage protection value which can result in abnormal charge . The DC stabilized power supply can be used for charging the battery . The charger is one that needs to detect the battery pack voltage first to activate the charge Solution: 1. Replace it with a normal charger that does not need to get the voltage signal from the BMS to act the charge . 2.please use the BMS with the different charge and discharge port . 3,if the the protection board has emergency switch, please press the emergency switch once and then the charge can be undergoing normally.
